Dolly ‘s sister Marie is life-partner to my brother, and has been in my life since I was a teenager.
I grew to know Dolly many, many years ago when she opened her heart and home to me, when worked on business contracts and visited Toowoomba regularly for work stints over a period of about two years. I boarded in her home (it felt like home, not just a place to stay, with Dolly in it). She lived for her family, and was a lady who just ‘got on with life’.

This turbulent and angry world we live in today, will be a lesser place for her sudden and incredibly tragic loss to all who knew her. To Marie, her daughters and all of her family, I send loving thoughts and mountains of sympathy.

Sending heartfelt sympathy to Dolly’s sister Marie and to her daughters Angie, Jocelyn and Stacey and their families at this heartbreaking time. I met Dolly several times over the past couple of decades in Townsville when she was visiting with Marie and Laurie. I know that Marie loved having her here to visit and visiting with her in Toowoomba.

I remember Dolly as a very pleasant person and was very very sad to hear of her passing.
